This condition affects the spine and sacroiliac joints causing severe inflammation, pain and stiffness. The inflammation can result in the vertebrae fusing together, limiting movement and causing a hunched-forward posture (kyphosis). In severe cases, surgery may be required to address spinal deformities or correct issues related to nerve compression.
Common Symptoms:
Chronic Back Pain and Stiffness
Reduced Mobility
Postural Changes
Fatigue
Treatment Options:
Non-Surgical: Medications, physical therapy, and lifestyle changes.
Surgical: Spinal fusion surgery (in severe cases), Deformity Correction and Decompression.
