Craniovertebral Junction (CVJ) consists of skull bone (occiput), first cervical vertebra (Atlas) and second cervical vertebra (Axis). It forms the junction of skull bone and spine. Pathologies like Rheumatoid Arthritis, Infection (tuberculosis), Congenital Conditions, Fracture of C1 & C2 can cause instability and deformity in this sensitive area.
