Spondylodiscitis or spine infections are caused by growth of pathogens on the vertebra or the inter-vertebral disc. Tuberculosis also has an effect on the vertebra and can lead to spinal deformity, pain and even paralysis in severe situations. Surgery in these situations are used to drain possible abysses and stabiles the spinal region.

  • Non-Surgical: Antibiotics, anti-tubercular medications, and physical therapy
  • Surgical: Decompression surgery, spinal stabilization, or infection drainage.
